How to clean your electric bicycle ?
1.Daily quick cleaning (1-5 minutes)
Basic dust removal:
Wipe the surface of the vehicle body with a damp cloth, with a focus on cleaning the battery compartment, chain and brake parts to prevent dust accumulation and accelerate wear ; Remove stones and other foreign objects in the tire tread in time to reduce driving resistance.
Key checks:
Check if the tire pressure meets the standard (2.2 to 2.8bar for regular tires). If it is insufficient, inflate immediately ; Quickly test brake sensitivity, gently pinch the brake handle and observe if the rebound is smooth ; Office worker tip : After parking, conveniently complete the wiping and tire pressure check. The basic performance can be maintained in 1 minute.
2.Deep cleaning steps (weekly/monthly)
Protective measures: Seal the charging port and controller interface with waterproof tape to prevent water ingress and short circuit
Tool selection: soft brush + neutral detergent. Do not use strong acid or strong alkali detergents
Pre-washing treatment: Low-pressure water flow is used to rinse off the floating dust. The high-pressure water gun should be kept at a distance of 30cm (direct spraying of the motor/battery is prohibited)
Body washing
Plastic parts: Gently brush with a soft brush dipped in neutral detergent, and wipe in the same direction to reduce scratches .
For the painted surface area: Use a microfiber cloth with foam for cleaning, with a focus on the areas where stains accumulate (mudguards, wheels) .
Maintenance of the transmission system
Chain: Dissolve the oil stains with a special cleaning agent, clean the gaps with a wire brush, and after cleaning, apply lubricating oil for rust prevention.
Brake disc: Rinse the end face of the caliper piston with brake cleaner to remove sand particles and prevent abnormal noise.
Hub maintenance: Thoroughly clean the edges of the aluminum rims with a wire brush to prevent air leakage due to poor sealing ; Apply a small amount of engine oil to the edge of the tire to prevent oxidation and enhance air tightness.
3.Contraindications for high-risk areas
Battery compartment: Only for external dry cloth wiping, . High-pressure water flushing/soaking is strictly prohibited to prevent short circuit and cause malfunction ; Before cleaning, disconnect the power supply and use a cotton swab to remove the oxide at the interface.
Motor and bearings: Avoid high-pressure water directly hitting the motor heat.

4.Seasonal maintenance priorities
In hot weather: Avoid direct sunlight and charge immediately. Let it cool down to below 45℃ before charging . Adjust the tire pressure to the lower limit of the standard value to prevent gas expansion and blowout.
Rainy season/humid environment: after rinsing, thoroughly dry the chain and brake wire to prevent rust and jamming; Spray anti-rust agent on metal parts and apply grease to screw interfaces to prevent water.
